Lexington 5th Grade Track & Field Meet

The 5th Grade Track & Field Meet is a tradition in Lexington that brings together kids from all the town's elementary schools to compete in a fun, pressure-free environment. The meet stretches back to at least the 1960s. Back then, during the junior high era, the meet featured 6th graders as they were the oldest elementary school class. The tradition eventually evolved to feature 5th graders and continued until 2017.
In 2025, the Boosters of Lexington Track-XC in partnership with the LHS Athletic Department, and the Diamond and Clarke Middle School XC / Track & Field teams revived this great community event. |
