CUTHBERTSON AND RANEY EARN RUNNER-UP FINISHES AT SEASON OPENERS
Meet Information
BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener
December 6, 2025
Boston University Indoor Track & Tennis Center - Boston, MA
RESULTS
BOSTON, MA - Whether you are a professional, collegiate, or prep track & field athlete, the first Saturday in December means the same thing, the Indoor season has begun. For Lexington High School's superstar thrower, senior captain Ainsley Cuthbertson, this meant traveling to Boston University to compete against some of the top collegiate throwers in the Northeast in the 20lb. Weight Throw. LHS's school record holder in the event faired well with a runner-up finish, as her best throw of 14.83m (48'8") tied her for second place with M.I.T. senior Lilia Ould-Hammou. However, Cuthbertson's second best throw (14.56m) broke that tie to secure her the second overall spot outright.

2025 TRACK at New Balance Early Bird Invite
December 6, 2025
the TRACK at New Balance - Boston, MA
RESULTS
BOSTON, MA - Across town, senior captain Aidan Raney made his season debut in the Pole Vault against a field full of collegiate vaulters. Raney patiently waited as the bar moved up from 3.55m (11'7.75") and slowly whittled the field down to just five vaulters when he came in at 4.00m (13'1.50"). For the LHS senior, who's PR, and school record, is 13'7", this was the highest opening height he had ever attempted. Given that, there was a level of uncertainty if he could deliver on his first jump of the season. Despite this, Raney was clean over on his first attempt. That jump of 4.00m wound up being his best clearance on the afternoon, and earned him a runner-up finish behind Williams College's Vincent VanMaaren (4.55m, 15'5").
Up Next
The Minutemen will get back to action next Saturday, December 13th at 9am, as the JV squad will head into the TRACK at New Balance for the first Middlesex League competition of the season.
