PROVIDENCE, RI - LHS's Bomb Squad had two representatives at the premier hammer throwing competition in New England this year. However, it was senior Raphael "The Don" LeDonne who made his mark on the circle at Conley Stadium.
The meet was highlighted by Exeter-West Greenwich Regional High School senior Owen Spira who unleashed the 12-pound steel ball a US #1 distance of 241'5" to win the competition. For The Minutemen, The Don shined as he finished off his high school career with a personal best mark of 162'11". That was good enough to land him 20th overall.

New Englands week continues as The Minutemen will have athletes competing at 3 separate meets this Saturday. championship meets this week. Junior Aidan Raney will travel to New Britain, Connecticut to compete in the Pole Vault at the New England Championships. Competition begins on June 14th at 10am. Later that afternoon, sophomore Erin Ehmann will get one final shot at the 2000m Steeplechase as she competes at the USATF-NE Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, which begin at 4:30pm at Gordon College. Then it will be sophomore Patrick Noonan who will compete at The Adrian Martinez Classic in Concord beginning at 5pm.
