Meet Information
58th Annual Glenn D. Loucks Games
May 8-9, 2026
Loucks Field - White Plains, NY
RESULTS
WHITE PLAINS, NY - This past weekend, LHS's sophomore distance stars traveled to upstate New York for the Annual Loucks Games. The two-day meet brought in top prep talent from around the Northeast, and created the perfect setting for Janie Conrad and Ella Tyson to showcase their stuff.
On Friday night, Conrad and Tyson competed in the unseeded section of the 3200m, just shy of the full 2 mile (3218m). Early on, Conrad went to the front pack, and drove a fast pace as she took the race through the 1600m mark in 5:25. Tyson, also locked in that top group, stayed right there through the first four laps. Things stayed status quo for much of the next three laps, but as the race approached the bell, Conrad made her move. The LHS sophomore unleashed a 74-second final lap, and crossed the line first with a time of 10:42.57. Tyson (10:51.96) hung on for fourth with a great race of her own. After the seeded section finished, which was won by Madeleine Lane of Hopkinton (NH) in 10:10.67, Conrad landed ninth overall, while Tyson was 12th in the talented field. Both performances were enough to achieve the New Balance Outdoor Nationals' qualifying standard.
Conrad and Tyson returned on Saturday for one of the signature events of this storied meet, the mile. In a loaded seeded section that saw three girls run 4:50 or faster, Conrad broke the elusive 5-minute barrier for the first time in her career as she placed eighth overall with a time of 4:59.74. Along with the finish, that time also qualified her for Nationals in the event. Tyson had a solid race in the unseeded section. She delivered a big season best time of 5:11.26, which stamped her ticket to the MIAA Division 1 Championship.
