LEXINGTON'S DISTANCE SQUAD PUT ON A SHOW AT REGIS COLLEGE
Meet Information
Weston Twilight Invitational
May 9, 2026
Regis College - Weston, MA
RESULTS
WESTON, MA - The final leg of the three-meet day known as "Track Day" saw The Minutemen's distance squad travel to Weston for the annual Weston Twilight Invitational. On a night that saw epic downpours, Lexington's athletes remained undaunted as they competed in the mile, 2 mile, and 2000m steeplechase in a picturesque setting on the campus of Regis College.
The highlight of the evening was the performance of Lexington's 2 milers. A group led by junior Patrick Noonan delivered five personal bests, and four MIAA Division 1 Championship qualifying marks in the 8-lapper. In the seeded section, Noonan laid back early in the race, and let others do the heavy pace-making. The race came through the mile in just over 4:40, but with 600m to go Noonan made his move to take the lead. Despite a strong surge, he ended up fading over the last 200m, and crossed the line sixth overall. However, his time of 9:19.47 was a huge personal best, and was MA #6 in what was the best 2 mile race in the Bay State this spring.
