LEX GIRLS PUT ON A SHOW AT THE 64th CATHOLIC MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL
Meet Information
64th Catholic Memorial Invitational
October 18, 2025
Franklin Park - Boston, MA
RESULTS
BOSTON, MA - In recent years Lexington has circled the annual Catholic Memorial Invitational on its calendar. The meet offers athletes a great chance to square off against top competition from the region on the legendary course at the Franklin Park Playstead. However, this year, due to ongoing construction on White Stadium, the traditional 5k course had to be modified significantly to accommodate the meet. Despite the roadblock, organizers were not going to let a little construction stop a tradition that dates back to when Eisenhower was in the White House. Their efforts paid off, as 835 boys and girls competed across 7 races on a picture perfect October day. For the Lex girls the setting proved to be everything they needed with championship season approaching. LHS's athletes put on a tremendous exhibition of team racing and dominated the Varsity 5k Race from start to finish. In the end, they took home the hardware with just 39 points and only 50 seconds separating their top-five. Bishop Feehan was their closest competitor with 110 points overall.
As they have been all year, the Lex girls were led by their star sophomore Janie Conrad. When the gun fired, Conrad shot out with Whitinsville Christian's Emily Flagg. She held onto the blistering early pace Flagg's become known for during the opening mile, but by the 3k mark had fall back. While the WC junior went on to win convincingly in 17:37.5, Conrad held her own against a talented field, and crossed the line in 18:19.9 to earn runner-up honors. However, the story of the day was not just Conrad's strong run. LHS's 2 through 5 runners delivered the kind of performances that teams need come November. Sophomore Ella Tyson continued her breakout season, as she pulled out a sensational race to place eighth overall in a time of 19:00.2. Tyson was followed closely by the pack of junior captain Alycia Charest (19:04.6), and fellow classmates Callie Glenn (19:08.6) and Erin Ehmann (19:09.6). The trio finished 10th, 11th, and 12th respectively to put a stamp on a truly impressive victory, which saw LHS place all five of its top runners before any other team placed two. While the top-five were stellar, the rest of the roster showed they can also compete at some of the highest levels this season. After a challenging season, captain Thayer DiCerbo (19:38.7) found her form on Saturday. Her 16th place finish overall, made her not only the fastest #6 runner in the field, she was also better than every other team's #2 runner. The senior was followed by freshman Emma Kosnik (19:48.1) who finished 20th overall. Sophomore Addie Haiar managed a 43rd place finish as she crossed the line at 20:40.4. Senior captain Meghan Caldera (20:45.1) was 45th. Meanwhile, sophomore Isabella Gorospe (21:16.9) landed 53rd.
