BOSTON, MA - In a highly contested meet the Lexington boys had a huge day on the track, and finished in a tie for 2nd place with rival Newton North. Both teams scored 41 points, finishing 10 points behind the boys from Lowell. The Lexington girls had strong performances across the board, managing 14.20 points of their own, good enough for 14th place.

BOSTON, MA - In a highly contested meet the Lexington boys had a huge day on the track, and finished in a tie for 2nd place with rival Newton North. Both teams scored 41 points, finishing 10 points behind the boys from Lowell. The Lexington girls had strong performances across the board, managing 14.20 points of their own, good enough for 14th place.
Individual Winners
- Thomas Lingard had the lone victory on either side for the Minutemen. He successfully defended his 1000m crown with a season best and state best time of 2:30.27.
Point Scorers from the Boys
- Alex Hiser qualified for the 55m dash finals, placing 4th in the prelims with a time of 6.71 seconds. He placed 5th in the finals, with a personal best of 6.69 seconds.
- Kazu Uda-Thach was nearly match Hiser's prelim time, running 6.73 seconds and placing 7th. In the finals his time was also recorded as 6.69 seconds, coming within thousandths of a second of Hiser, but still scoring 7th overall. He would return with a 6th place finish in the 300m later in the meet, crossing the line in 36.59 seconds.
- Senior Lucas Honohan continued a stellar season, running 35.57 seconds in the 300m good for 4th overall.
- Sophomore Andrew McGovern crossed the line with a huge personal best of 1:23.83 in the 600m. He would score 2 points for the Minutemen (7th place).
- Eli Gappelberg ran another big personal best for the Minutemen. His 9:37.22 effort in the 2 Mile was good enough for 4th place.
- Hiser, Honohan, and Uda-Thach teamed up with Senior Cameron Hofland to finish 3rd in the 4x200m with a time of 1:32.10.
- The Backert brothers (Josh and Selvin) combined with Jeb Jacob and Lingard to grab a hard earned point in the 4x800m. The team clocked a time of 8:21.43 edging out Methuen by .43 seconds.
- In each of their third races of the day, Lingard and Uda-Thach combined with McGovern and Senior Matt Stevens to finish 6th with a season best time of 3:30.27 securing the Team's 2nd place finish.
Other Highlights for the Boys
- Selvin Backert crossed the line in 2:38.27, a personal best and good enough for 11th in the 1000m.
- His twin brother Josh Backert came in 12th in the 600m with a personal best (1:25.61) of his own.
- In the Mile, Jacob ran 4:37.81, finishing 13th.
- One of four freshmen boys to qualify for any individual event at the Division 1 Championships, Nick Porter came in 22nd in the 2 Mile with a time of 10:09.04.

Point Scorers from the Girls
- The top point getter for the girls was Sophomore Chrisondra Awomah, her throw of 36'3" was good enough to place 3rd overall.
- Senior Vivian Li earned points in the Long Jump, finishing 5th with a leap of 17'4".
- Senior Maya Barrett-Tzannes scored 6th in the 2 Mile with a person best of 11:46.15.
- In the 4x200m Li teamed up with a trio of freshmen, Aleia Gisolfi-McCready, Alexandra Wardle, and Eileen Cannon, to pick up a point (8th) with a time of 1:51.07.
- Rachel Caldwell-Glixon was Lexington's lone athlete in the High Jump. She finished in a five-way tie for 8th place with a jump of 4'10".
Other Highlights for the Girls
- Cannon and fellow Freshmen Catherine Movsessian both competed in the 300m, clocking times of 44.05 seconds and 43.38 seconds respectively
- Senior Leah Smith crossed the line with a two second personal best of 1:40.50 in the 600m, good enough for 9th place.
- Pauline Steines placed 10th in the 1000m with a time of 3:11.87.
- Dana Ofek (10th) and Kesinia Sortor (12th) both competed in the Mile, finishing with a time of 5:30.91 and 5:35.64 respectively.
- Barrett-Tzannes, Sortor, and Steines, teamed up with Senior Sophie Chong in the 4x800m relay to run a time of 10:09.37, enough for 10th.
- Caldwell-Glixon, Movsessian, Cannon, and Smith came in 10th with a time of 4:16.56 in the 4x400m.
