- Ties in Shot Put, Discus, and Javelin is broken by 2nd best throw.
- Ties in Long Jump and Triple Jump broken by 2nd best jump.
- Ties in High Jump broken by whichever athlete cleared the highest height on the fewest attempts. If still equal then points are evenly divided.
- Ties on the track only occur when electronic timing cannot determine winner (usually 3 decimal places). In that case points are evenly divided.
Indoor Track:
- Events - 55m Dash, 300m, 600m, 1000m, One Mile, Two Mile, 55m High Hurdles, 4x200m Relay, 4x400m Relay, High Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put.
- Participation Rule - 2 and 1 rule - Athletes can only participate in two running and one field event or two field and one running event. Relays count as a running event.
- How to win the meet - 100 total points are at stake. There are 9 individual events, each with 9 points available, plus 2 relays with 5 points available in each. Scoring 51 points guarantees victory.
- Exhibition Events - Pole Vault, Triple Jump, and Weight Throw are competed but not scored.
Outdoor Track:
- Events - 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, One Mile, Two Mile, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, 100m/110m High Hurdles, 400m Intermediate Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus, and Javelin.
- Participation Rule - ANY 3 rule - Athletes can only participate in any three events.
- How to win the meet - 136 total points are at stake. There are 14 individual events, each with 9 points available, plus 2 relays with 5 points available in each. Scoring 69 points guarantees victory.
- Exhibition Events - Pole Vault, and Hammer Throw are competed but not scored.
