Meet Information
New Balance Indoor Nationals Day 3
March 9, 2024
The Reggie Lewis Center - Boston, MA
RESULTS
BOSTON, MA - After the freshman took center stage for the first two days of New Balance Indoor Nationals, on Day 3, it was time for The Minutemen's individual qualifiers in the Championship Division to have their shot to compete against the best athletes in the country. Junior Ryan Zhang and sophomore Simon Tandeih began the day early in the morning in the preliminaries of the 60m Hurdles. Both athletes had solid showings, as Zhang's time of 8.71 seconds landed him 180th out of 227 competitors. Tandeih crossed the line in 8.56 seconds, which was good enough to finish 129th overall. In the afternoon, senior captain Joey "The Candyman" Ryan toed the line for the final time in his Indoor career in the 2 Mile. Ryan got out well in the early going, and managed to hang on for a time of 9:23.94. That mark was the second fastest time of his career - and in school history - and has him sitting in 50th place going into Sunday where the two seeded sections will compete.
Up Next
