RESULTS
BOSTON, MA - On Sunday Lexington traveled to Reggie Lewis to compete in the annual Freshmen/Sophomore Meet. The meet is a chance for underclassmen to see how they stack up against their fellow classmates from across the state, and offers teams a glimpse into the future of their programs. All totaled seven of Lexington's athletes earned medals between the boys and girls teams, and three of the four relays came away with a medal as well.
The Minutemen's top finisher on the boys side was sophomore Nick Porter. In his first time racing on the track this season, Porter led the seeded heat through the opening mile in a relaxed 5:07 before others took over the pacing duties over the next three quarters of a mile. As the final lap approached Porter surged into the lead and blew away the field with a blistering final lap to win the race in 10:10.80. On the girls side, sophomore Aleia Gisolfi-McCready was the top finisher. She continued her strong season by placing third in a challenging 300m field with a time of 42.60 seconds.

Tuesday, in the last of three meets in five days, The Minutemen will head to BU for the final time this year where they will wrap up regular season action against Reading. The meet is set to begin at 4:30pm.

Other Highlights for the Girls
- Lexington's lone high jumper was freshman Mari McBride who tied a personal best with a jump of 4'10" placing fifth in the process.
- Another freshman, Beryl Awomah placed sixth with a throw of 29'2.25" in the Shot Put.
- Sophomore Lina Jafaar picked up the eighth and final medal in the 1000m in a time of 3:12.86.
- Running a Middlesex League Championship qualifying time in the 600m was sophomore Aylin Bruce (1:45.29) finishing 13th overall.
- The 4x200m relay team of Sujin Lee, Eileen Cannon, McBride and Gisolfi-McCready placed fourth in a time of 1:52.54.
- In the 4x400m relay it was Bruce, Sunny Tang, Catherine Movsessian and Elana Sabin who took fifth in 4:23.16.
Other Highlights for the Boys
- In the Mile, sophomore Max DiCerbo placed fourth with a time of 4:45.60.
- Dipping under the League qualifying standard for the first time in the Mile was sophomore Nate Croke. He placed sixth in a time of 4:47.79.
- Running in the slowest of four heats, the 4x400m team of freshmen Traver Smith III, Daniel Ramsey, Evan Eberle, and sophomore Juno Daciuk ran away from their heat to a seventh place finish overall.
