BOSTON, MA - Monday night The Minutemen were back at Reggie Lewis to compete against the best in the League at the Middlesex League Championships. For the girls, this meet offered a chance to redeem their lone loss of the regular season against Belmont. While on the boys side it was an opportunity to further validate their dominance of the Middlesex League after winning the regular season crown last month. In both cases Lexington left zero doubt about who is the class of the League, with both teams winning by over 40 points. The girls put up 110.5 points to second place Woburn's 69.5. Not to be outdone, the boys scored 116 points to the Tanners' 75.

BOSTON, MA - Monday night The Minutemen were back at Reggie Lewis to compete against the best in the League at the Middlesex League Championships. For the girls, this meet offered a chance to redeem their lone loss of the regular season against Belmont. While on the boys side it was an opportunity to further validate their dominance of the Middlesex League after winning the regular season crown last month. In both cases Lexington left zero doubt about who is the class of the League, with both teams winning by over 40 points. The girls put up 110.5 points to second place Woburn's 69.5. Not to be outdone, the boys scored 116 points to the Tanners' 75.
Individual Winners
- Sophomore Aleia Gisolfi-McCready dominated the 300m, winning by nearly two seconds and running a personal best and MA #8 time of 41.07 seconds.
- The 4x200m team of junior Rachel Caldwell-Glixon, junior Keena Gao, freshman Mari McBride, and sophomore Eileen Cannon ran a season best and Division 1 qualifying time of 1:49.76 on their way to victory.
- Not to be outdone, the 4x400m team of freshman Elana Sabin, sophomore Aylin Bruce, sophomore Lina Jafaar and Gisolfi-McCready won in 4:13.55.
- In the Boys Mile, senior captain Eli Gappelberg won the event in 4:32.74.
- The 4x200m relay of senior captains Alex Hiser and Kazu Uda-Thach paired with fellow classmate Matt Pusatere and sophomore Alex Murphy to win in 1:35.02.
Point Scorers for the Girls
- The girls meet got off to a hot start in the 55m High Hurdles when Caldwell-Glixon bested her personal best in the prelims before smashing that time and running 8.94 seconds in the race (placing second).
- Senior captain Kesinia Sortor had a big day of her own. First running a personal best time of 5:19.53 and placing third in the Mile. Then she came back to match that place by running 11:55.41 in the 2 Mile.
- Junior Lily Sheth continued her stellar season by running a personal best in the 600m (1:39.47) and placed second in the process. She then doubled back shortly thereafter to pick up fifth with another personal best (43.81 seconds) in the 300m.
- Along with Sortor, junior Danna Ofek placed second in the 2 Mile in a time of 11:51.92.
- Fellow classmate junior Chrisondra Awomah took second in the Shot Put with a throw of 35'2.25".
- Sophomore Lina Jafaar had a podium finish of her own by running a personal best 3:08.09 in the 1000m and placing third.
- In the High Jump, Caldwell-Glixon and McBride both jumped 4'11" with the two placing fifth and eighth respectively on jumps.
- Senior captain Janna Lee picked up a fifth place finish with a personal best throw of 31'3" in the Shot Put.
- Running a personal best of her own in the 600m was sophomore Aylin Bruce. Her time of 1:42.67 placed her fifth.
- Gao picked up sixth place in the 55m Dash, running a personal best 7.85 seconds.
- Cannon placed seventh in the 300m in 44.32 seconds.
- Also in the 2 Mile was freshman Clara Fu placing seventh in a personal best 12:17.44.
- Junior Pauline Steines picked up the eighth and final place in the 1000m, running 3:17.61.

Point Scorers for the Boys
- After both ran personal bests in the prelims, junior hurdlers Shymon Samsel (8.18 seconds) and Liam Cotter (8.22 seconds) ran huge personal bests in the finals to place second and third respectively in the 55m High Hurdles.
- With a time of 3:32.99, the 4x400m team of senior Joe Tibbles, junior Jack Stevens, and twin brothers Selvin and Josh Backert placed second.
- Uda-Thach picked up the silver medal in the 300m with a time of 35.59 seconds. He later placed sixth in the Long Jump with a jump of 19'5.5".
- Selvin Backert finished a close second in the 1000m with a time of 2:39.14.
- In the 600m Josh Backert ran a huge personal best time (1:23.92) to earn a second place of his own.
- The 2 Mile saw junior Adam Bernstein run a personal best and Division 1 qualifying 9:54.23 to finish third.
- Along with Bernstein, fellow classmate Micah Benson placed fourth in 9:56.31.
- Lexington's Shot Put squad produced a 4-5 performance with juniors Yanni Zavaliagkos (45'9") and Michael Gupta (44'6.5") doing the heavy lifting.
- Running out of the unseeded heat, Tibbles won his race with a personal best 1:27.65 to place fourth overall in the 600m.
- Hiser was fourth in the 55m Dash in 6.82 seconds, and matched that place in the Long Jump with a leap of 19'8".
- Also scoring in the 300m was senior Riley Walsh, who ran a personal best 37.49 seconds to come in fifth.
- In the Mile, senior Jeb Jacob ran 4:39.44 to place sixth.
- Junior Brandon Wilkins followed up his great performance last week with a solid 5'10" leap and a seventh place finish in the High Jump.
- Sophomore Maxim Slobodchikov placed seventh in the 1000m in a time of 2:43.00.
- With a personal best of his own, junior Mateo Useche grabbed a point by finishing eighth in 2:43.09.
