MIDDLESEX LEAGUE ALL STARS ANNOUNCED
LEXINGTON, MA - The Middlesex League Head Coaches association have announced their choices for League All Stars, and after another strong season The Minutemen have many boys and girls who earned the honor.
On the Boys side, senior Thomas Lingard earned All Star honors for his performance in the 800 meters. Lingard ran a season best of 1:56.61 during the current Outdoor season. Senior Lucas Honohan earned All Star honors in the 200 meter dash, where he ran a personal best 22.43 seconds, and also as a member of the All Star 4x100 meter relays team that won the League Championships in a time of 44.53 seconds. The other members of the relay, who also earned All Star honors, were sophomore Brian Her, senior Cameron Hofland, and junior Kazu Uda-Thach. Hofland and Uda-Thach were also named All Stars in the 100 meter dash where they ran personal bests of 10.9 and 10.8 respectively. Sophomore Andrew McGovern was named an All Star in the 400 meter Intermediate Hurdles, where he had a personal best of 56.86 seconds, finishing runner up at the League Championships. Senior Dan Crooke was named an All Star in the Long Jump, with his season best leap of 20'6". Finally in the 2 Mile, junior Eli Gappelberg and freshman Nick Porter earned All Star honors with their season best times of 9:51.34 and 10:01.86 respectively.
The Girls also had multiple All Stars. Standout sophomore Rachel Caldwell-Glixon was the only Minutemen, boy or girl, to achieve All Star status in three separate events. She finished the season with personal bests of 15.76 seconds in the 100 meter High Hurdles, 5'2" in the High Jump, and 16'4" in the Long Jump. Senior Vivian Li was named an All Star in the Long Jump, with her season best leap of 17'3". Another sophomore, Chrisondra Awomah earned All Star honors in the Shot Put where she threw 37'2", which broke a 28 year old school record in the event. Senior Joan Sullivan, with her personal best throw of 94'6", was named an All Star in the Discus. In the Mile, sophomore Pauline Steines earned All Star honors by finishing League competition with a season best 5:26.32. In her first Outdoor season, sophomore Lily Sheth followed up her League All Star Indoor season, with an All Star nod in the 400 meter dash. She finished League competition with a personal best of 1:00.2 in the event. Another distance runner, junior Kesinia Sortor was named an All Star in the 2 Mile where she finished with a season best 12:03.16.

These League All Stars and the rest of The Minutemen will be in action this Sunday at the MIAA Eastern Massachusetts Division 1 Championships at Andover High School. The meet is slated to begin at 10:00am.
