LEXINGTON, MA - The Lexington Boys and Girls each left the track with a victory on Tuesday night. In a meet that was completed only thanks the the lights coming off of the neighboring softball field and tennis courts, the Boys earned a 96-40 victory, while the Girls won by a margin of 80-56.
The Lexington Girls were lead by the strong overall performance of sophomore Rachel Caldwell-Glixon, who won the high jump (5'0"), the 100 meter hurdles (16.30), and picked up a third place finish in the shot put (27'9"). On the Boys side, it was another sophomore leading the way. Andrew McGovern started off the meet by taking 400 meter hurdles in a time of 59.30 seconds, and returned in the 800 meters to grab the win with a time of 2:03.80 seconds.

Up Next
The Minutemen will be back in action this Saturday at the MSTCA Division 1 Relays. The meet takes place at Lincoln Sudbury High School, and is set to start at 9:30am.

Highlights from the Track (Girls)
- The girls swept the mile with Kesinia Sortor, Isabel Siu-Zmuidzinas, and Lauren Sterne going 1,2,3 with times of 5:56.1, 5:57.2 and 6:08.5 respectively.
- Lexington swept the shot put with Chrisondra Awomah leading the way with a throw of 32'9.5". Joan Sullivan (29'7") and Caldwell-Glixon picked up second and third.
- In the discus Sullivan led another Lexington sweep with a throw of 75'9". Awomah (75'3") and Samantha Robinson (56'9") grabbed second and third.
- Senior Anna Kohlasch led the the Girls' final sweep on the day by winning the 2 mile in time of 12:56.5. She was followed by Isabel Jakimczyk and Zoe Gu who finished in 13:15.3 and 13:25.7 respectively.
- Sophomore Lily Sheth debuted in the 400 meter dash, taking the win with a time of 1:03.6.
- Kimia Abedi won the triple jump with a leap of 29'7.5".
- Vivian Li took the long jump with Division 1 qualifying jump of 16'6.25".
- Pauline Steines won the 800 meters in a time of 2:33.0.
Highlights from the Track (Boys)
- The boys were able to manage one sweep, Dan Crooke (19'5.5"), Eric Brock (18'9.5") and Brandon Wilkins (18'1") went 1,2,3 in the long jump.
- Michael Gupta took the shot put with his final throw of the competition (43'0").
- Beau Vernet won the discus with a toss of 110'8".
- Yashasvi Raj finished off a dominating performance by Lexington in the throws by winning the javelin with a throw of 134'8".
- Josh Backert picked up the win in the triple jump with a leap of 39'6".
- Cameron Hofland won the 100 meter dash in 11.5 seconds.
- Thomas Lingard won the 400 meter dash in 51.3 seconds, and came back to anchor the 4x400 meter relay to a victory.
- Lucas Honohan grabbed the win in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.0 seconds.
- Eli Gappelberg broke the tape in the 2 mile with a time of 10:04.9.
- In addition to the 4x400 meter relay victory, the Boys also won the 4x100 meter relay by a second with a time of 49.3 seconds.
