PARKS, JACOB, AND NGO TURN IN PERSONAL BESTS AT LOU TOZZI INVITE
Meet Information
MSTCA Lou Tozzi Invitational
June 5, 2021
Gordon College - Wenham, MA
RESULTS
WENHAM, MA - With the calendar turning to June The Minutemen have their eyes towards Championship season, beginning with the Reading & Woburn Tri-Meet this Monday. However, before that gets underway, on Saturday a group of Lexington High School athletes traveled up to Gordon College for one final tune up before Championship season.
For The Minutemen, the day was highlighted by sophomore Maddie Parks who appears to be finding her stride at the right time of the season. Competing in the High Jump, Parks cleared 5'2" for the first time since she began jumping for LHS. That leap was enough to take the victory in the event. Along with Parks' big day, the "Bomb Squad" was well represented by fellow classmates Matt Jacob and Jack Ngo. Jacob (44'0.50") bested Ngo (44'0") by a half inch as the pair finished fifth and sixth respectively in the Shot Put. Both throwers set new personal bests, giving LHS three throwers who have tossed the 12lb metal ball at least 44 feet.
Other Highlights
Up Next
Monday the Middlesex League Liberty Division Championships will be on the line as The Minutemen travel to Woburn High School for a Tri-Meet against the Tanners and the Reading Rockets. The meet is set to begin at 4:15pm.
