WOBURN, MA - On Tuesday afternoon The Minutemen traveled to Woburn to face off against their chief rival in the Middlesex League. In a hard fought battle the Boys' efforts fell short, with the final score being 74-62 in favor of the Tanners. While the Girls fell by a score of 102 to 34. Despite the loss the Boys had numerous standout performances. Sophomore Yanni Zavaliagkos had himself quite the day. First, he threw a personal best in the Shot Put, winning the event with a distance of 44'11.25". He later came back to win the Discus with a throw of 115'11". Senior Lucas Honohan put down one of the fastest 400 meter dash times in the state so far this season. Honohan won the even in a time of 49.20 seconds, and would return to lead off the 4x400 meter relay, which won in a Division 1 Championships qualifying time of 3:29.10.
